Job summary

The University of North Florida Athletics Department is seeking a Part-Time Facilities Staff member to support facility operations, event setup and maintenance for athletic events, including preparing venues for games.

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down venues, field and court prep, crowd management support, routine inspections, cleaning, moving equipment, inventory, and assisting with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on events.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced event environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and breaking down athletic events, including tables, chairs, signage, barricades, tents, and equipment.
• Prepare competition venues for special events.
• Assist with field and court preparation before, during, and after events.
• Support event day operations staff with crowd management and event logistics.
• Help ensure all venues are ready and meet operational standards.
• Perform routine facility inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Assist with cleaning and upkeep of athletic facilities, common areas, and event spaces.
• Move, transport, and store equipment and supplies.
• Assist with inventory and organization of athletic equipment and storage areas.
• Support facility improvements and special projects as assigned
