Job summary

Texas Live! in Arlington, TX is seeking a Cook to join a fast-paced kitchen team. You will prepare and cook orders, maintain sanitation, and support shifts to deliver quality dining experiences for Rangers fans and guests.

We value at least one year of cooking experience, recipe and portion-control knowledge, and a positive team attitude. Evening/night/weekend availability may be required; culinary certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience cooking on a fast paced kitchen line.
• Able to follow recipes, practice portion control and presentation.
• Strong communication with cooks, wait staff and supervisors.
• Reading/writing abilities used for recipes, scheduling and inventory.
• Math skills including percentages and quantities are used.
• Alcohol awareness certification or food handler card as required by local/state
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations.
• Advise supervisor of low inventory and assist in receiving items.
• Restock items through the shift.
• Maintain sanitation to meet health board standards.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and equipment.
• Report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment.
• May assist with ware washing or other kitchen duties.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments.
• Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
