Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Game Worker for High School Athletics to support the smooth operation of game events. This as-needed, event-based role may require evenings and weekends.

You will assist with event setup and breakdown, prep athletic facilities and equipment, and help coaches, officials, staff, and spectators as needed. Qualifications

• Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with staff, students, officials, and the public.
• Previous experience working athletic events is preferred but not required.
• Must be available to work assigned athletic events, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to successfully pass a required background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event setup and breakdown before and after athletic contests.
• Help prepare athletic facilities, equipment, and game areas.
• Assist coaches, officials, athletic staff, and spectators as needed.
• Operate or assist with the scoreboard, game clock, ticket sales, admissions, or other game-day duties as assigned.
• Monitor entrances and help ensure spectators follow school and athletic event guidelines.
• Provide general customer service and assistance to students, families, and visitors.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
• Follow all district, school, and athletic department policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or designee.
