Position Summary

Anne Arundel Community College’s athletic department is seeking temporary employees to fulfill a variety of responsibilities related to game day functions of our eleven sports programs. Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Live Stream Filmer – film game action for AACC Athletics Live streams on YouTube and assist with production through Open Broadcast Software
• Statistician – compile live, in‑game statistics for various sports, including soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, and lacrosse; enter statistics, and/or be a spotter for live entry personnel.
• Clock/Scoreboard Operator – manage the operations of the game clock, shot clock, and/or scoreboard for various sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, and lacrosse.
• Public Address Announcer – announce lineups and game action for fans.
• Line Judging – assist volleyball officials as out‑of‑bounds line judges in volleyball matches.
• Ball Runner – assist with pace of play in soccer and volleyball by returning out‑of‑bounds game balls back into the game.
• Grounds Crew – prepare fields and courts for games by setting up equipment and electronics; breakdown fields following completion of contests and return equipment and electronics to proper storage spaces.
• Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Athletics.

Employees are not required to perform all functions and will be contacted for availability on a weekly basis.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends to accommodate the needs of the department.
• Must act and dress professionally while on the campus of AACC and interacting with the college community.
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and familiarity with intercollegiate sports teams, and terminology.
• Ability to deal tactfully with faculty, staff, students, and the public.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full‑time basis; employment‑based visa sponsorship (including H‑1B sponsorship) is not available for any position.
• Only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the college: Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia.
• Annex: The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility.
