Job summary

ServingSchools at Sanford Middle School in Sanford, ME seeks a qualified English/Language Arts Interventionist to support literacy development for grades 5 and 6. The role emphasizes targeted instruction and collaboration within MTSS.

Qualifications

• Appropriate teaching certification required.
• Experience working with middle school students, preferably grades 5–6.
• Strong understanding of literacy instruction and intervention strategies.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 literacy interventions for students
• Deliver push-in classroom support in collaboration with classroom teachers
• Actively participate in MTSS process and team meetings
• Support instructional coaching efforts, including modeling effective literacy instruction
• Assist in facilitating professional development opportunities for staff as appropriate
• Collaborate positively and effectively with teachers, staff, and families
