Job summary

Novax Recruitment is seeking a Galvanizing Supervisor for an Orangeburg, SC facility in the steelwork industry. The role leads galvanizing staff, ensures timely completion of tasks, and maintains safety and quality standards on the shop floor.

The position requires extensive manufacturing leadership experience, forklift and crane certification, and a track record in galvanizing operations. Shift coverage includes early and late shifts with production-driven scheduling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience and certified to operate forklifts and cranes.
• 3 years of production and/or manufacturing supervision.
• Previous galvanizing management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the galvanizing staff and ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Operate equipment and tools to aid manufacturing, forklift, and overhead crane.
• Ensure all equipment and tanks are always operating properly (acid levels, temperatures, etc.).
• Understand product codes and quality requirements for each product.

Job Title: Galvanizing Supervisor

Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 (plus 5% potential bonus)

Location: Orangeburg, SC

Industry: Steelwork

The Position:

Supervise the galvanizing staff and ensure that all team’s daily tasks are completed accurately and on time. Shift schedules are as follows: First Shift 5 am-3:30 pm/Second Shift 2:30 pm-1 am Monday-Thursday with Fridays or Saturdays depending on production requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an expert in the three main steps of the hot dip galvanizing process, surface preparation, galvanizing, and post-treatment.
• Operate equipment and tools to aid manufacturing, forklift, and overhead crane.
• Ensure all equipment & tanks are always operating properly (acid levels, temperatures, etc.).
• Supervise a small group of 1st & 2nd Shift employees.
• Understand product codes and quality requirements for each product.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience and certified to operate forklifts and cranes.
• 3 years of production and/or manufacturing supervision.
• Previous galvanizing management experience is preferred.
