Job summary

Nucor Towers & Structures in Brigham City, UT is hiring a Galvanizing Process Technician to support HDG units, monitor process performance, and drive improvements in tank chemistry and residues management. The role emphasizes safety, housekeeping, and timely reporting to leadership.

Expect collaboration with maintenance and operations, training of new staff, and active participation in the Safety Leadership Team to uphold Nucor's safety standards while delivering quality galvanizing outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three years of supervisory or management experience in an industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations, and state and federal labor standards.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support for all HDG units, reporting HDG process performance to Senior management, and managing/improving statistical systems that define product/process capabilities.
• Oversee sulfuric acid recovery operations.
• Responsible for daily and weekly process tank titrations and galvanizing bath chemistry.
• Ensure product quality meets specified standards and assigned personnel make inspections as required by standard procedures.
• Report and investigate all incidents in a timely manner.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions in assigned areas.
• Train new employees into department activities and safety procedures.
• Actively participate in monthly Safety Leadership Team meetings.
