Job summary

Nucor's Vulcraft Utah plant in Brigham City seeks a Detailer / Shop Order Technician to coordinate projects from building modeling through final shop order production. You will prepare 3D models, placement plans, bills of materials, sketches and production documents, while liaising with customers and production staff to ensure timely delivery.

The role emphasizes safety as a core value and requires proficiency in 2D/3D modeling and construction practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to visualize and work in 2D/3D environments.
• Strong aptitude for mathematics and technical plan reading.
• Basic knowledge of construction practices.
• Experience with CAD/AutoCAD/Tekla or 3D modeling software (preferred).
• Construction or manufacturing experience.
• Steel joist and/or steel deck experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects from initial building modeling to final shop order production.
• Create and manage 3D models, approval and placement plans, BOMs, sketches and production documents.
• Collaborate with customers, teammates and production personnel to ensure on-time delivery.
• Uphold safety policies, practices and housekeeping standards at all times.

Basic Job Functions:

Vulcraft Utah is seeking motivated, detail-oriented candidates for a Detailer / Shop Order Technician position within our Engineering Department at the Brigham City Utah plant. This role is responsible for project coordination from initial building modeling through final shop order production, including 3D models, approval and placement plans, bills of material, sketches, and production documents. Candidates will work closely with customers, teammates, and production personnel to ensure project success and on-time delivery
