Job summary

Island Hospitality Management in Sterling, VA seeks a Gallery Host/Front Desk to greet guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, and handle payments according to hotel standards. The role includes assisting guests and vendors, preparing shift reports, and maintaining beverage service with proper safety and cleanliness.

You will work with a team to ensure top-tier guest experiences, verify IDs, and support management with daily operations and inventory controls.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a guest-focused, friendly, outgoing individual to greet and assist guests as our Gallery Host/Front Desk.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Check-in/Check-out hotel guests
• Process all payments according to established hotel requirements
• Provide information and assistance to all guests and vendors
• Prepares all necessary reports during each shift for the management team
• Follow financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables
• Prepare, set up, stock, take down, clean, and provide quality beverages and food products, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
• Ensure gallery remains well-stocked at all times Receiving food and beverage orders as needed
• Prepare and plate all food items on the menu
• Cleaning and sanitizing countertops and floors after each shift
• Validate customers' IDs and monitor all beverage consumption in order to avoid severe intoxication

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to use hot food preparation machines such as, but not limited to, oven, stove, and microwave to cook or heat food items
• Basic knowledge of how to operate all Food and Beverage equipment
• Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
• Ability to work well in stressful situations
• Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service

Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
