Job summary

Atlanta Botanical Garden is seeking a part-time Guest Experience Associate for Gainesville Glows, a seasonal event in the Gainesville area. You will greet guests, scan tickets, handle will-call, assist gift shop purchases, and help with admissions while promoting memberships.

The role requires a customer-focused attitude, flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, and basic math plus computer skills. Training begins in early November and runs through January 5th.

Qualifications

  • Preferred 1 year of retail experience.
  • Strong customer service skills; experience working in a customer-focused capacity.
  • Flexibility of schedule to work shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Experience with POS systems preferred.
  • Multi-tasking and organizational abilities.
  • Basic math and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet arriving guests.
  • Maintain orderly lines and scan tickets.
  • Assist with will-call tickets.
  • Process all admission POS transactions.
  • Promote and actively sell annual garden memberships.

Description

Gainesville Glows transforms the Gainesville Garden into a winter wonderland featuring sparkling light displays, interactive installations, festive experiences and larger-than-life displays throughout the woodland.

The Gainesville Glows Guest Experience Associate is a part-time seasonal team member supporting ticketing sales, admission to the event, will call tickets, gift shop sales, merchandise cart sales and various other duties. This is a customer-facing role requiring flexibility, initiative, and a positive attitude.

This position is a part-time temporary position that will start early November and may continue through January 5th.

Pay

$15/hour

Key Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand/walk 90% of time
  • Position requires visual acuity to read details presented on a computer screen
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and card swipe reader
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
