North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center (NFETC) in Gainesville, FL is seeking a CNA to join a 24/7 male forensic mental health facility. The position may require 16-hour shifts and includes a full two-week orientation.

Pay rate is $14.64/hr with a bill rate of $19.03/hr; candidates meeting the Florida rate card will be considered. You will assist with ADLs, observe residents, document changes, and support nursing staff while maintaining professionalism.

FL-DOH-Gainesville-CNA - Candidates will need to attend an full two week orientation, working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Pay Rate: $14.64/hr / Bill Rate: $19.03/hr (Candidates will be considered who exceed the established State of Florida rate card)

WORK ENVIORNMENT: The North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center (NFETC) is a maximum security, all male forensic mental health facility located in Gainesville, Florida. It has a current capacity of 193 residents.

TYPE OF PATIENTS: The average age of our residents is early 30's. The goal is to get those committed as Incompetent to Proceed to Trial (78%) back to their committing courts for disposition of their charges, and those committed as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (22%) to a less restrictive environment.

CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with all aspects of resident care as assigned by the nurse/shift supervisor, including activities of daily living, ambulation, mobility, and nutrition.
• Observe, identify, and report resident concerns or needs to the shift supervisor.
• Document information factually and objectively, within acceptable time frame as defined by facility policy.
• Provide safe and supportive observation and effectively monitor assigned residents.
• Complete assignments timely, completely, accurately and in a cooperative manner.
• Provide the necessary assistance when giving residents the following activities of daily living nursing care: oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming, hair and nail care, shaving, toileting, eating and drinking, and mobility.
• Assist with monitoring and accountability of residents to enable medical personnel to accomplish health related tasks.
• Display professionalism throughout employment including, but not limited to, arriving to work on time, maintaining an accurate timesheet, and maintaining professional appearance as defined by facility policy.
