We’re building a visually striking narrative exploring human connection in a near-future, subtly dystopian world, with a tone that blends psychological tension with moments of quiet introspection. This project is the first step toward a full series, and we’re looking for someone excited to contribute creatively from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for designing and executing the lighting plan, working closely with the Director and DP to achieve our desired aesthetic. We need someone who can work efficiently, adapt to practical limitations, and bring a strong sense of visual storytelling to the set. Experience gaffing for narrative pilots or short films is essential, and please include a reel or portfolio showcasing your lighting work. NYC-based preferred. While some basic grip equipment will be provided, we value candidates who can contribute additional lighting packages or specialised gear to elevate the production quality. This is a collaborative environment, offering significant creative input and a direct stake in the project’s future success. Expect long days typical of independent filmmaking. Meals and essential on-set expenses will be covered.
