CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield seeks a Financial Reporting Accountant to prepare audited year-end GAAP/STAT statements, regulatory filings, and monthly financials. You will perform statutory adjustments, investment accounting, and schedule preparation for NAIC/BCBSA submissions.

The role involves assisting in consolidation, board package preparation, and supporting the disclosure committee. CPA eligibility and 3 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Three years of public accounting or corporate financial experience and CPA eligible.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Assist monthly consolidation and preparation of financial statements (B/S, P&L, cash flow).
• Prepare statutory adjustments to convert GAAP to statutory basis with supporting docs.
• Prepare GAAP investment accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly investment notes and year-end investment reporting.
• Develop regulatory schedules and submits to state departments.
• Prepare annual GAAP and STAT notes to financial statements.
