Job summary

Qualifications

• Seven years of verifiable related experience; post-secondary degrees may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Knowledge of GAAP and ability to analyze and report financial data; prepare detailed financial reports.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with DEP personnel and vendors; ensure questions are resolved.

Responsibilities

• Pre-audit and payment processing of expenditures including purchasing card transactions and other requests.
• Verify account codes, supporting documentation, and authorization signatures; ensure compliance with procedures.
• Communicate with DEP staff and the Department of Financial Services to provide documentation for audits.
• Monitor and reconcile revenue, disbursements, expenditures and related activity for accuracy and compliance.
• Research financial transactions and correct errors in the State’s financial management system.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly and yearly compliance reviews and report discrepancies.
