Job summary

You will analyze accounts receivable, prepare journal entries, and develop BI reports in collaboration with Accounting, Revenue Cycle, and Operations. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, 5+ years in accounting or financial analysis, and proficiency with Excel and accounting software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• CPA certification preferred; healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge on revenue recognition.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; ability to learn new systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze monthly revenue recognition processes through review of patient billing and collection trends, reserve analysis, and other statistics.
• Calculate and analyze accounts receivable reserves, including payor adjustments and patient credit balances.
• Handle GL journal entries related to patients' accounts receivable and revenue, including summary journal entries and reconciliations.
• Analyze Prior Period Adjustments, aging of AR, and revenue trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Produce BI reports to provide insights and decision support.
• Assist with audit schedules for revenue recognition and with annual budget cycles.
