Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) is seeking a qualified accountant to establish and maintain GAAP accrual-based financial statements and internal controls. You will manage journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and generate timely financial reports in a multi-location healthcare setting.

Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 2+ years of experience; strong Excel, Access, and Oracle skills; experience with GAAP and internal controls is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance with two or more years of accounting experience.
• Preferred: Experience working in accounting for a multi-specialty, physician owned practice.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Creates and maintains spreadsheets to support journal entries to the general or subsidiary ledgers.
• Reviews general ledger trial balance monthly for accuracy and makes corrections as needed.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and other reports as specified.
• Reconciles general ledger accounts and ensures data integrity and proper coding.
