Delaware Valley Floral Group LLC (DVFG) is seeking a Backup Shuttle Driver to support the Augusta Distribution Team by safely transporting fresh flowers and related products between distribution locations. You will operate a refrigerated straight truck, load/unload, and maintain product quality while adhering to schedules and safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years of experience with 26-foot straight trucks, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 2 years of professional experience operating a 26-foot straight truck or larger.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a refrigerated straight truck to transport flowers and related products between distribution locations.
• Provide backup coverage for shuttle driver and support transportation needs as needed.
• Load, unload, and handle products while minimizing damage and preserving quality.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe vehicle; ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Follow routes and use maps or GPS for safe and efficient transportation.
• Comply with company policies, DOT requirements, and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, and team members to support daily operations.

This position helps ensure products arrive safely and on time while maintaining high standards for vehicle safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service.What You’ll DoSafely operate a refrigerated straight truck to transport fresh flowers, greens, floral supplies, and related products between distribution locations.Provide backup coverage for the shuttle driver and support transportation needs on an as-needed basis.Ensure products are transported safely and delivered according to established schedules and routes.Load, unload, and handle products efficiently while maintaining product quality and minimizing damage.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle and ensure equipment is functioning properly.Follow assigned routes and use maps or GPS to support safe and efficient transportation.Maintain compliance with company policies, DOT requirements, and all applicable safety standards.Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, and other team members to support smooth daily operations.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThis role requires the ability to work in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment, including temperatures of approximately 34°F.
