Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking a GA Pre‑K Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering a nurturing educational experience aligned with GA Dept of Early Care and Learning standards.

You will help plan and implement diverse learning activities, observe children's progress, and tailor lessons to meet individual needs, fostering a warm, inclusive classroom for families and staff across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Background check required or able to pass
• High School Diploma or higher required
• One of the following credentials: Tech Certificate in ECE, Specialist degree/PhD, GaPSC Paraprofessional, Master's, Georgia teaching certificate, CDA, or Bachelor's/Associate degree
• Genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist GA Pre-K Lead Teacher in overseeing classroom activities per GA Dept of Early Care and Learning standards
• Contribute to planning and implementing learning experiences supporting physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and creative development
• Observe and assess children's development and tailor curriculum to individual needs
• Collaborate with team to foster a nurturing, inclusive environment for children and families
