Compensation & Pay Range: $16.94 per hour

Candidates with advanced education and experience in early childhood education may qualify for higher pay within the range. Regular increases are considered with additional education, stellar performance, and years of service.

Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:

• Help implement the Georgia Pre-K curriculum to prepare children for success in kindergarten.
• Foster relationships with children and provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
• Assist the lead teacher in preparing lesson plans and instructing children in age-appropriate activities, according to the Georgia Pre-K curriculum.
• Engage families in conversations about their child's education and development.
• Work as part of a supportive team and have fun!

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of a CDA/TCC required.
• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is strongly preferred.
• 6 months of experience as a teacher in a licensed childcare facility preferred.
• Successfully pass state background check and health assessments.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for child safety and emergencies.
