RTX (Raytheon) Pratt & Whitney Columbus, GA is seeking a maintenance technician to support turbine engine and component maintenance on site. The role requires use of hand tools and fixtures to assemble/disassemble engines per approved data and work instructions, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and relevant aviation engine experience. FAA safety requirements and site-specific procedures apply; relocation is not specified.

Qualifications

• Aviation engine overhaul and repair experience preferred.
• A&P license or Powerplant certificate required/preferred.
• Experience in disassembly, inspection, assembly, or turbine engine testing.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

• Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance in accordance with published work instructions and approved technical data.
• Utilize common hand tools as well as a wide variety of tooling and fixtures to assemble/disassembly and test a jet engine.
• Ensure all phases of assembly/disassembly as specified by work instructions, comply with required self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Monitor and ensure processes meet Safety, Quality and Delivery objectives .

Qualifications You Must Have:

• H igh S chool Diploma or GED

Qualifications We Prefer :

• A viation engine overhaul and repair experience
• A irframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or Powerplant (P) Certificate
• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Inspection, Assembly, or Turbine Engine Test Operations.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications and SAP
