Job summary

Aviagen is seeking an organized, proactive team member to join the GP G.A.P. Team supporting breeder operations across regional facilities in the US. The role involves coordinating moves, depletion, disinfection and shavings processes, and ensuring timely completion of tasks and reporting.

The ideal candidate has a BS degree or equivalent, poultry experience, good computer and communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including some weekends. Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and verifying all activities that are necessary to take place from the beginning of the move/depletion process through the disinfect/shavings process
• Fostering and strengthening contract grower relations
• Fostering and strengthening relationships with other departments through daily communications and interactions
• Clearly communicating all deadlines to the necessary people involved
• Ensuring timelines are appropriate and deadlines are met
• Performing daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
• Daily local travel within the regional production base
• Bio-security and health & safety are major responsibilities
• May perform other tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor

We are seeking an outstanding individual to become a part of the newly developed GP G.A.P. Team. The Grower-Aviagen Partnership (G.A.P.) Team has been created to facilitate the efficient and timely turn around for both rearing and lay facilities during the downtime between flocks. The G.A.P. Team will be responsible and accountable for coordinating and verifying all activities that are necessary to take place from the beginning of the move/depletion process through the disinfect/shavings process.
