Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a Grade 1 long-term substitute teacher for New Hampshire Estates Elementary School. Under the direction of the principal, you will plan instruction and support student learning through the winter break.

This temporary part-time position does not include benefits. Familiarity with MCPS curriculum and inclusive teaching practices are expected. Attends meetings outside instructional day as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university.
• Maryland state certification requirements in education.

Job Specific Information : This long-term substitute teaching position will be in first grade. The position will run through Winter Break.Wage range is dependent on multiple factors. For wage information for this position, please contact the hiring manager. The exact wage depends on multiple factors including but not limited to: the nature of the project, prior experience in MCPS, and current negotiated agreements. This is a Temporary Part Time (TPT) position that does not include benefits.

Summary Description:

Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure Success for Every Student. Supervises students in a variety of school related settings. Monitors and evaluates student outcomes. Communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff and community. Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students. Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practices. Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilities. Education Training Experience:
