Summary Description
Under the direction of the school principal, plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students. Creates an environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students to ensure Success for Every Student. Supervises students in various school-related settings, monitors and evaluates student outcomes, and communicates with students, parents, staff, and the community. Develops, modifies, and implements instructional plans and materials to meet diverse student needs. Maintains records and adheres to required procedures. Ensures proper use and care of equipment and facilities. Physical Demands: As required by the job. Special Requirements: Attendance at school meetings, programs, and activities outside instructional hours as mandated by the MCEA agreement.
Job Specific Information

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of MCPS curriculum, instructional techniques, policies, and effective practices. Ability to incorporate technology, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively. Knowledge of the Montgomery County Public Schools Teacher Growth System (TPGS) and Supporting Services (SEIU) Professional Growth System (SSPGS).
Education & Certification
Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited institution. Meets Maryland state certification requirements.
