Job summary

HOPE Center of Edmond is seeking a student worker under the Federal Work Study Program to support staff and volunteers in emergency assistance operations at off-campus locations. The role involves helping with donations, stocking food pantry shelves, and assisting clients with clothing needs while adhering to safety guidelines.

Enrollment in FWSP is required, with 6+ credit hours for undergraduates and 5+ for graduates; full details provided by HR.

Qualifications

• This is an off-campus FWSP student labor position.
• Requires heavy lifting up to 50 lbs., pulling/pushing, and varied physical tasks.
• 20-25 hours per week, Monday–Saturday (off-campus).

Responsibilities

• Greet/Receipt/Thank donors.
• Assist donors and volunteers in unloading donations of food, clothing, and household items.
• Ensure food pantry shelves are stocked and orderly; fill food order sacks as needed.
• Assist clients with clothing needs when necessary.
• Keep warehouse aisles clear to maintain a safe work area for volunteers.
• Load and deliver donations designated for the re-sale store.
• Communicate with Warehouse manager for daily tasks.
• Become familiar with HOPE Center of Edmond’s mission and programs.
• Work harmoniously with people at all levels of the organization.
• Additional related duties as assigned.
