Responsibilities

  • Support outreach and admissions through the full lifecycle to meet recruitment targets
  • Build rapport with candidates and communicate consistently
  • Help implement retention activities for alumni populations, including women and young adults
  • Learn to design and produce reports tracking recruitment and enrollment data
  • Collaborate with local Marketing Manager to run digital ads and revise collateral materials
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings
  • Provide phone coverage as needed
  • Coordinate class kickoffs and support cross-functional collaboration

We are looking for a Recruitment & Admissions Intern to help support and cultivate a pipeline of applicants and assist with the outreach and enrollment process training in our Atlanta, Ga training site. They will promote Per Scholas’ mission to prospective students through community outreach, digital engagement, and partnership development.

Recruitment & Admissions Support
  • Recruitment & Admissions Support Assist with outreach and admissions process throughout its entire lifecycle, ensuring targets and benchmarks for recruitment and admissions are achieved each cycle.
  • Communicate with candidates while quickly building rapport and trust.
  • Assist to implement retention activities (Meetups, networking opportunities, etc.) for specific alumni populations including women and young adults.
Data Management Support
  • Learn to design and produce reports to track, document, and measure progress and outcomes.
  • Gain experience to organize and be prepared to report on recruitment and enrollment data.
  • Develop strategic thinking skills to recognize data and trends and suggest improvements in a start-up environment.
  • Work with local Digital Marketing Manager to run ads on digital channels and ensure that needed revisions to collateral materials are timely.
Other Projects:
  • Participate in staff meetings and training.
  • Provide telephone coverage as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating class kickoffs.
  • Work cross-functionally with a willingness to “get things done” while promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Site Director.
Qualifications:
  • Student working towards relevant degree program in business or IT.
  • Knowledge and entry level experience in (Google Sheets/Excel, Slides/PowerPoint, Salesforce, etc.), project management, and organizational skills with detailed follow-through abilities.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn business needs and how to source talent to meet the needs of the business.
  • Develop evaluation and data management skills.
  • Experience with social media marketing a plus, or a desire to learn.
  • Prior knowledge or background in IT (if minimal, a desire and willingness to learn what’s needed) and a passion for technology is a plus.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Below are the minimum requirements of the education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to competently perform in this position.
  • Must be an enrolled student.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a current student in good standing and possess a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester.
  • FWS fund eligible.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-directed, motivated individuals.
