The purpose of tutoring is to tutor students in specific course material and to promote independent learning by integrating study and learning strategies. Student tutors will provide individual and small group tutoring (no more than four students) in subjects where they have earned a grade of B or higher. Tutors will participate in face-to-face and online training to learn effective study and learning strategies. As a team member, tutors must communicate regularly with the Director of the Tutoring Center, primarily via email, and always CC the Director on relevant correspondence.
Applicants must meet federal work-study eligibility, including:
Hourly Pay: $14.00/hr
Work Hours: Part-time, up to 20 hours/week, during office hours (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), excluding scheduled class times and holidays.
