Job Summary

This position supports library and archives functions at Cartersville Campus. Must be a current GHC student.

Responsibilities
  • Understand, support, and promote the college’s mission, vision, and values
  • Provide customer service to library users in person and by phone
  • Use the library management system to process borrowing and returning materials
  • Assist with basic reference inquiries and technology support
  • Maintain the appearance and organization of the library
  • Manage physical library and archival materials, including shelving and inventory
  • Ensure confidentiality of patron records
  • Perform administrative tasks, including scanning and equipment handling
  • Collect and maintain data on library and archive usage
  • Assist with archival processing: access, description, preservation, and digitization
  • Display and post marketing materials
  • Support reference requests, create displays, and staff the circulation desk as needed
  • Perform other assigned duties
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current GHC undergraduate student in good academic standing (SAP met)
  • Current FAFSA filed with all requirements completed
  • Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
  • Prior experience is preferred but not required; training provided
