Job summary

The University of South Florida is seeking up to three FWS Student Assistants for Fall 2026 in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The role supports office tasks, communications, and administrative duties within the Finance area of the department.

Ideal candidates have prior office or customer service experience, strong MS Office skills, and are able to work 10-20 hours per week Monday through Friday with flexible hours.

FWS Student Assistant - Electrical Engineering (Finance)

Position Summary

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering within the College of Engineering is seeking to hire up to three FWS students for Fall 2026.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicant must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the current academic year in order to apply for this position. Applicants are asked to demonstrate proof of their FWS award by saving their "Award Overview" screen from OASIS as a print screen and then pasting it into a Word document and upload it as part of any additional required application materials. If other documents (in addition to your FWS award) are required as part of your application, you must upload ALL documents as one document. Preferred Qualifications

The ideal student candidates should have prior work experience in an office or customer service environment and conflict resolution experience is preferred. Availability to work flexible hours Monday - Friday. Have experience with Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). High attention to detail and a sense of urgency when completing tasks.
