Job summary

Pacific University, Music Department, seeks a part-time FWS Music Therapy Program Assistant for the 2026-27 Fall and Spring terms. This position is open only to current Pacific University undergraduate students who qualify for federal work-study funding and have met with the Music Department Faculty.

The role provides general office and administrative support, including tool checkout, greetings, inventory, and classroom/lab setup.

Qualifications

• Must be a Pacific University undergraduate student eligible for federal work study funds for 2026-27.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Strong oral and written communication and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Check out/in assessment tools and equipment.
• Copy and scanning of documents.
• Greeting guests and students.
• Take inventory of assessment tools, equipment, and classroom supplies.
• Tidying up classrooms, group study rooms, and the employee lounge.
• Typing projects in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Unlocking lockers, labs, and classrooms.
• Assisting faculty and teaching assistants with classroom/lab setup and cleanup.
• Assisting faculty with research projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

FWS- MUSIC- Music Therapy Program Assistant- 26-27

Department and Location: Music Department, Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center

Purpose: Provide general office and administrative support to the staff and faculty.

Wage: $16.80 per hour

Length of Employment: Fall and Spring Semesters

• Checking out/in assessment tools and equipment
• Copying and scanning
• Greeting guests and students
• Taking inventory of assessment tools, equipment, and/or classroom supplies
• Tidying up classrooms, group study rooms, and the employee lounge
• Typing projects in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
• Unlocking lockers, labs, and classrooms
• Assisting faculty and teaching assistants with classroom/lab set up and clean up
• Assisting faculty with research projects
• Other duties as assigned
• This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
