Job Description: Campus: Americus
The General Education Department is seeking a Federal Work-Study student to provide general office support. Duties may include filing, making copies, bulk scanning, data entry, word processing, faxing, shredding, running errands, typing, distributing memos, answering telephone calls, and other clerical duties as assigned.
The student must have strong customer service and communication skills.
Must be enrolled in Fall Semester 2026 for at least six (6) credit hours. Must be approved for Federal Student Aid for the applicable award year. Must be eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program. Must be making satisfactory academic progress. Must complete a criminal background check and/or credit check, if applicable. Must complete all required State of Georgia employment paperwork through the Human Resources Office before beginning work. Students may not begin working until all required hiring process has been completed and approved.
Candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check.
The student may work up to 20 hours per week, depending on Federal Work-Study eligibility and available funding. Work hours will be flexible to accommodate the student's class schedule. Generally, the student will work approximately two hours per day, four to five days per week. Students may not exceed 225 hours per semester.
