The Creative Writing Program supports New School students, faculty, administration, and the New York City community. We are a busy office composed of staff members, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students. The ideal candidate should be reliable and motivated to help with day-to-day operations in a busy, fast-paced office. Selected candidates will be familiarized with Creative Writing’s academic programs, course offerings, events, and curriculum. This position is expected to work on-site Mondays - Thursdays, up to 20 hours per week.**Responsibilities include:*** Assist with in-person, telephone, and email inquiries* Direct calls/emails/requests for faculty, administrators, or other departments/programs* Assist with clerical support for Creative Writing staff and faculty as assigned, including data entry, filing, and other projects* Other duties as assigned**Minimum Qualifications:*** Professional with excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills* Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and use good judgement* Punctual and reliable* Tech savvy with command of Google Drive, Zoom* Ability to proofread and a keen eye for details* Friendly demeanor and a positive attitude* Federal work study funding**Preferred Qualifications:*** Students whose concentration is writing and literature are particularly encouraged to apply* Proficiency in Adobe Suite a plus* Prior experience in an administrative support position**Workmode**: This position is primarily in-person and is based on campus to support effective in-person collaboration and engagement. #LI-DNI**Hourly Rate**: $17 - $19/hrTo apply, submit a cover letter and resume.
