Pacific University is seeking a Part Time FWS Film Series Manager for the MEDA 108 fall term. This role supports the on-campus film series led by Asst. Professor Phil Busse, including setup for each screening and on-site supervision.

The cornerstone of Sports Communication major/minor is a fall term course, MEDA 108, Introduction to Sports Communication. Each fall, Asst Professor Phil Busse organizes a film series as part of the MEDA 108 curriculum—as a means to present concepts from sports communication in a narrative or documentary format, and also as a means to engage and inform other students about the Sports Communication major.

Throughout the fall term, six films are screened. The Film Series Manager is responsible for the proper execution of these events; specifically, the Studio Director will be available for 15 minutes before the evening screening to set up a computer connection to a projector for video and audio, as well as remain during the screening (roughly 1.5 hours), and stay until the final students depart, ensuring that the room is clean and secured.

Payment is a flat fee of $400 for the six films, including any attendant costs to rent the films for the sake of educational uses.
