Job summary

The University of Saint Mary is seeking a Federal Work Study student to support Biology and Natural Sciences labs. This on-campus role provides supervised work experience aligned with your education in science.

You will assist the lab coordinator with preparing exercises, maintaining lab spaces, preparing solutions, assisting with aquaponic garden, and performing minor clerical duties while learning laboratory protocols and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Aid the lab coordinator in preparing and setting up laboratory exercises.
• Maintain a clean and organized lab space.
• Prepare solutions and culture media.
• Assist with maintenance and care of fish and plants in the aquaponic garden.
• Assist with construction and preparation of grow beds or other aquaponic garden structures.
• Perform minor clerical duties.
• Assist with hallway displays and related projects.
• Complete the Federal Work Study orientation.
