Job summary

Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking an experienced Futures Operations professional to support futures and options clearing with a focus on GMI, customer clearing, reconciliations, and readiness. The role emphasizes hands-on operations experience, strong back-office knowledge, and collaboration across multiple control functions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of futures and options operations experience.
• Expert level experience with GMI; minimum 3 years required.
• Strong knowledge of customer futures clearing, including account setup, trade processing, margin, cash, reconciliations, and statements.
• Experience with CME/CBOT, COMEX, NYMEX or other listed derivatives markets preferred.
• Familiarity with clearing house and FCM operational processes.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large operational datasets.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Support futures and options clearing operations, including customer clearing workflows.
• Perform trade allocation, give-up, and give-in processing.
• Research and resolve trade, cash, margin, position, and settlement breaks.
• Support daily reconciliations across GMI, exchanges, clearing houses, banks, and internal books and records.
• Process and review cash movements, general ledger entries, fees, commissions, and related GMI activity.
• Assist with customer statement, margin, point balance, and expiration processing.
• Partner with Operations, Middle Office, Finance, Technology, Compliance, and Risk on process improvements and control enhancements.
• Support onboarding, testing, and readiness for new futures products, exchanges, and clearing relationships.
• Document procedures, identify automation opportunities, and help strengthen the operating model.
