Job summary

Cabarrus County School District is seeking a School Nutrition Program Manager Trainee in Concord, NC. The role is a non-exempt trainee position focused on learning all facets of the USDA Child Nutrition Program and supporting SNP operations.

The trainee may supervise SNP Assistants, assist in food production, cash handling, inventory, and facility maintenance under the SNP Supervisor and Training Managers. A path to a full manager role is implied.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ServSafe certification must be obtained within 6 months if not currently certified.
• Minimum one year of experience in institutional food service required.
• School Nutrition experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to planned menus and standard recipes.
• Assist in cash handling and inventory accountability.
• Supervise SNP assistants when needed.
• Maintain safety and quality per HACCP and program requirements.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling and production records.
