Job Title: Future-Ready Workforce Student Intern - Federal Work Study

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Middle, Secondary and P12 Education department on the Gainesville campus. This person will help with planning and implementing outreach events related to future-ready and workforce development topics like AI, drones, and other emerging technologies. Students of any major are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a student representative for the purposes of EdTech-related outreach/development.
  • Assist with planning and/or implementing EdTech related UNG programs and events such as the campus NextFest, cadet-focused disruptive tech trainings, and work with partners like the Center for Civic Engagement.
  • Assist with external K12 projects ongoing this year. Travel funding to attend these events and support them in person is possible.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • An interest in technology and a willingness to learn about new technologies.
  • Some skills/exposure to Artificial Intelligence (such as ChatGPT), drones, or other emerging technologies.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Experience leading groups of people, such as in public speaking, teaching, coaching, or working at summer camps.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
