Job summary

British Swim School - South Orlando is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach students of all ages following our unique aquatics program. You will help children learn to swim in a fun and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate is someone who loves working with kids, enjoys having fun at work, and is committed to making a positive impact in their lives. Training will be provided, and flexible scheduling options are available.

Qualifications

• Must have a love for working with children and helping them progress.
• Reliable commuting to the pool in Walnut Creek and/or Concord is required.
• Must be able to work weekend mornings and weekdays.

British Swim School was founded in 1981 and offers the Bay Area’s premier water survival, learn-to-swim, and stroke development program. Our teachers have the opportunity to change someone’s life!

Responsibilities

As a Swim Instructor, You Will Teach Students Of All Ages In Accordance With The British Swim School Aquatics Program. Even If You Are Not An Expert Swim Instructor, That’s Okay! We Can Train Anyone On How To Teach The Way We Teach, But Here Is What We Do Need From You

• You need to be a “swimmer”. Ideally, you have an understanding of all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water
• You've got to love working with children and seeing them progress
• You need to be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work. Having fun is mandatory!
• This is a year-round indoor position, and we are looking for longer‑term employees.
• Be able to work weekend mornings from 8:45 am-2:00 pm
• Be able to work weekdays from 3:00 pm-8:00 pm
• You need to be able to reliably commute to our pool located in Walnut Creek and/or Concord!

Compensation And Rewards

• Pay starts at $18.00/hr

It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child‑focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
