British Swim School - South Orlando in Richmond Heights is looking for enthusiastic swim instructors to teach children and adults how to swim. You’ll receive specialized training while working in a fun environment focused on water safety and child development.

Job description

British Swim School is a nationwide provider of survival and stroke development swim lessons with an enhanced focus on a gentle, fun and progressive aquatics program. We are looking for fun-loving individuals to join our award-winning team of swim instructors and local heroes.

Our mission is to prevent accidental drownings by teaching children and adults, in a fun way, how to swim and enjoy the water safely.

British Swim School has been teaching swim lessons via our signature method for 40 years. We are confident we can train anyone on how to teach our curriculum – as long as they enjoy the water and have a passion for child development and helping children to make progress and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Love working with children
• Be upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work
• Receive in‑depth online and hands‑on training that will stay with you the rest of your professional career
• Receive PTO, plus paid birthday PTO, and potentially reimbursement for lifeguard certification
• Be able to work regularly on weekends

We also have exciting opportunities with our customer service team, even if you're not in the pool. These roles involve talking to parents on the phone or by the pool, helping everyone feel like part of the British Swim School family, while focusing on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”

Teaching Focus

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary‑aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It’s helpful if you have experience with children or in a child‑focused job, but it’s not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
