Job summary

British Swim School is seeking part-time instructors to teach swim lessons onsite. You will follow our curriculum, ensure student safety, and create a fun learning environment for kids, primarily preschool and elementary ages.

Local Vallejo candidates are preferred, with flexible schedules for students. We offer structured paid training, including lifeguard certification, and opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding franchise network.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Reliable, nurturing, energetic individuals encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication and ability to engage with kids and parents.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities Include

Physical Requirements

• Remain in the pool for the majority or entirety of each shift.
• Lift and support young children in the water.
• Work in a warm, humid, indoor pool environment.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and move throughout lessons.

Experience working with children and a love of swimming is a plus, but no experience is required!

LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED: Candidates located in or around Vallejo.

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the "Survival of the Littlest."
