Job summary

Discovery Point in Tennessee is seeking a Pre-4 Aide to support the lead teacher by planning lessons and guiding children through activities aligned with the approved curriculum. You will help promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth while maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.

You will collaborate with the Lead Teacher, manage transitions, and contribute to a structured day designed to meet licensing and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
• Knowledge of early childhood education and curriculum.
• Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations.
• Ability to obtain training in CPR/Fire Safety and other training required.
• Must be able to meet state background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in the education, safety, and wellbeing of a classroom of 18 children.
• Take on interchanging roles with Lead Teacher throughout the day as class moves through the curriculum from one activity to the next.
• Assist in providing 6.5 hours of instructional time. This position is year round.
• Attend Annual Professional Development Training as Required by Management

Requirements

• Minimum of a CDA, TCC, two year ECE, or a Bachelor’s degree in any field

Compensation: $8 -12/hour
