Job summary

Discovery Point is hiring a Lead Teacher in Tennessee to plan and deliver lessons under approved curriculum, fostering social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. The role emphasizes safety, positive family relations, and adherence to all policies.

You will guide other staff, maintain a structured daily schedule, and ensure a caring, professional learning environment for children and families within our Discovery Point centers.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
• Knowledge of early childhood education and curriculum.
• Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations.
• Ability to obtain CPR/Fire Safety training and other required training.
• Must have CDA/degree in ECE.

Position Summary:

As a Pre4 Lead Teacher, you will plan lessons and instruct children in activities according to approved curriculum designed to promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. In addition, you will promote and participate in all center functions, communicate with, and develop positive relationships with all family members.

Duties:

• Implement weekly curricula which address all learning goals
• Provide direction to other staff in classroom
• Responsible for organization and adherence to a daily schedule
• Adherence to all State and Discovery Point policies and regulations
• Communicate in a friendly, professional manner with parents, staff, and management
• Maintain a welcoming, upbeat, positive atmosphere in classroom
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the classroom at all times

Qualifications:

• Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience
