Job summary

SERVPRO of New Hanover/Brunswick & South Columbus Counties is seeking Movers/Laborers for our Wilmington location. You will pack, move furniture, and clean structures and contents after water, fire, or mold damage, and prepare rooms for work activities with staging and equipment.

You will collaborate with management and other technicians to keep production efficient, perform end-of-day cleanup, and help plan the next day’s workload.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background check
• Physical ability to lift 50–100 lbs regularly

Responsibilities

• Packing contents, moving furniture, and cleaning structure and contents after damage.
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities; set up staging and equipment for each project.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• End-of-day cleanup and breakdown; leave jobsite clean and orderly.
• Unload trash/equipment and plan/load for the next day.

  Servpro of New Hanover is Now Hiring: Movers/Laborers for our Wilmington location.

Key Responsibilities

• Packing contents, moving furniture, & cleaning structure & contents post water/fire/mold damage.
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities (such as demo, packing, cleaning, etc.). Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance
• Unload trash/equipment from work vehicles and plan and load for next day.

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license REQUIRED
• Ability to successfully complete a background check with clear criminal history subject to applicable law

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents

Compensation: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
