Job summary

SERVPRO of Vacaville / Dixon is seeking a motivated restoration technician to respond to emergencies and perform water and fire damage restoration. This role involves equipment setup, inventory, and clear communication with supervisors and clients.

You will work as part of a team, load and maintain vehicles, and handle cleanup tasks while following safety guidelines. A valid driver’s license is required and on-call shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a vehicle to job sites.
• On-call shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in restoration, construction, or related field preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations (water/fire).
• Evaluate and perform restoration: water extraction, drying, demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools and supplies.
• Communicate safety hazards and equipment needs with supervisors.
• Maintain clear client communication and explain restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks including water extraction and drying.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
