Future Opening: LIVE IN WEEKEND Alzheimer's Experienced Caregiver

Description: This position provides personal care services to clients in accordance with the Plan of Care, contracted through Assisting Hands.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required

Qualifications: One (1) year experience in home or long-term care preferred.

Reports to: Staffing Coordinator

Primary Duties:

• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment within the client’s residence, including light cleaning, straightening areas, washing dishes or laundry, and other safety and cleanliness tasks.
• Perform personal care activities as outlined in the Plan of Care, such as assisting with hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, and transfers.
• Provide nutritional support as needed.
• Report any changes in the client’s condition.
• Assist with device use (wheelchair, walker, Hoyer lift), prescribed exercises, and household routines.
• Measure and record fluid intake/output, vital signs, and observe behavioral changes, reporting them accordingly.
• Remind and assist clients with medication self-administration, recording assistance as needed.
• Follow infection control policies, including proper hand hygiene per CDC guidelines.
• Adhere to all agency policies and procedures.

Hours: Varies based on assignment; shifts available 24/7, but hours are not guaranteed.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly
