Job summary

Ace Handyman Services Capital District Saratoga Region is seeking a skilled Craftsman with expertise in plumbing, carpentry, tile, and electrical to join our Columbus-area team. You will be responsible for home repair, maintenance, and remodeling tasks, communicating clearly with homeowners and property managers, and delivering high-quality workmanship.

This is a full-time, W-2 position with a Monday–Friday schedule (7:30 am–4 pm), a local company backed by a national Ace Hardware brand,

Qualifications

• Multitrade handyman with ability to diagnose and repair issues across trades.
• Strong communication with homeowners, managers, and suppliers.
• Punctual, organized, and presentable on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, carpentry, tile, and electrical tasks as needed.
• Inspect sites, communicate findings, and recommend solutions.
• Maintain clean and organized tools and work areas on job sites.
• Provide excellent customer service and seek opportunities for additional work.

Not necessarily having every tool, but knowing what tools are needed for certain tasks.

Must be a quick thinker, able to examine issues and resolve them in a prompt and professional manner.

Excellent Communication Skills

Must be able to communicate effectively with Management, Office Personnel, Fellow Employees, Homeowners, Suppliers, Property Managers and Commercial Customers.

Compensation: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour

The 800+ Craftsmen who represent our Brand are the heart and soul of our turn-key, white-glove home repair, maintenance, and improvement service. They are skilled and experienced in many trades, but their professionalism and attention to detail is what sets them apart from others who work in the industry.

Most of the projects completed are for Repeat and Referral Customers—folks truly appreciate our high level of service, and they often request additional work by asking for particular Craftsmen by name.

Many of our Craftsmen are former business owners themselves and after working for an Ace Handyman Services local office, even for a short time, they have no desire to be out on their own or operating their small businesses any longer.
