Job summary

Calyx Living in Raleigh is seeking an Administrator in Training to grow into an Executive Director for our senior living communities. You will be mentored across communities in the Triangle area, training to lead operations and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes developing leadership, staff supervision, and strong resident relations, with the aim of delivering quality care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Meets the NC Administrator in Training requirements within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM databases.
• Experience directing and supervising a team—hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• A passion for working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Pursue the training curriculum and licensing to become a licensed Executive Director.
• Develop skills to manage daily operations, service delivery, regulatory compliance, staffing, and sales.
• Maintain resident satisfaction and occupancy, providing quality care and a happy, safe community.
• Build relationships with residents, families, and staff to lead effectively.
• Ensure operations adhere to Calyx policies and government regulations.
• Support HR functions including hiring, retention, staffing, and department leadership.
• Raise awareness of services offered to residents and their families.
