Job summary

Travelers is offering a Business Insurance Underwriting Professional Development Internship Program. The 10-week internship runs from early June to mid-August and provides hands-on underwriting exposure, on-the-job training, and interaction with industry professionals.

Interns receive a designated coach, complete core assignments and self-paced courses, work on meaningful projects, and present findings to local leadership. The program also introduces AI tools and other Travelers functions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or obtained a Bachelor’s degree.
• GPA 3.0 or above preferred.
• Willing to learn underwriting concepts and insurance terminology.

Responsibilities

• Complete core assignments and training modules on insurance and underwriting principles.
• Participate in self-paced professional development courses in time management, presentation skills, and other key areas.
• Complete challenging and meaningful project work and present findings to local leadership.
• Learn to leverage AI tools with critical thinking to evaluate outputs.
• Engage in agency visits and Enterprise Internship activities.
