Wisconsin Electric Power, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, seeks a Technical Training & Methods Specialist - Fusion Welding to lead development and delivery of training programs in Kenosha/Milwaukee, WI. The position requires a Bachelor's degree or 5 years of related experience, strong analytical and training skills, and willingness to travel to training facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of degree, a minimum of 5 years of experience in utility operations or technical training is required.
• 4 years utility operations, construction, or adult technical instruction.
• Core Skills: Analytical thinking, decision-making abilities; strong communication and facilitation; organizational and project management; training tools proficiency; adult learning theory and instructional design; needs analysis; stakeholder collaboration; leadership and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of technical training programs, progression testing, and qualification activities to support operational performance, safety, and compliance objectives.
• Partner with Operations to assess training needs, develop curriculum and work methods, administer LMS and OQ programs, and drive continuous improvement through effective learning solutions and field support.
• Support administration of Operator Qualification (OQ) evaluations for fusion/welding.
• Support field compliance with fusion/welding processes.
• Assist with other OQ evaluations.
• Conduct field observations for safety and operational compliance.
• Maintain training and OQ documentation and records for contractors.
• Stay informed on basic industry practices, standards, and procedures.
• Identify improvement opportunities in training materials and delivery.
• Assist in creating learning objectives and training materials.
• Gather and organize technical documentation for training use; assist with Learning Management System (LMS) administration.
• Apply basic instructional methods in classroom and field settings.
• May be required to drive to various training facilities and meet corporate driving standards.
