Job summary
Type One Energy Group, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Physicist in Knoxville, TN to support plasma diagnostic systems for machine protection, real-time control, and investigations on our fusion stellarator.
You will contribute to development, deployment, and operation of diagnostics and work with multidisciplinary teams on similar projects. The role requires a strong foundation in engineering physics or related field, experience with data analysis (Python/MATLAB), and familiarity with CAD tools.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering Physics or related field.
- Familiarity with designing, developing, and operating advanced diagnostic systems for fusion or plasma experiments.
- Experience with data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation using scientific software (Python, MATLAB).
- Familiarity with CAD/analysis software.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support design, construction, and deployment of diagnostic systems to meet technical feasibility.
- Support data analysis/model development for plasma diagnostics.
- Support mechanical, nuclear and electrical engineering applications for diagnostics.
- Participate in planning, execution, and analysis of experiments.
