Job summary

The Structures Company in Wichita, KS is seeking an Assembly Mechanic for fuselage work on a contract basis. You will assemble, install, seal, rig, and inspect precision structural components according to drawings and quality requirements.

Requirements include 11+ years of related experience, the ability to read prints and use precision measuring tools, and access to CNC/conventional fastening equipment. ITAR compliance and US person status are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations.
• 11+ years of related experience (minimum 10 years considered).
• Ability to read and interpret prints, charts, sketches, and work instructions.
• Proficiency with shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments.
• Experience setting up and operating conventional and CNC fastening equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, installs, seals, rigs, and inspects precision structural components per drawings and specifications.
• Performs functional tests and corrects fit, form, and function of assemblies.
• Uses prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, and data from verbal/electronic sources.
• Operates conventional and CNC fastening equipment; uses tools to assemble sub-assemblies.
• Performs routine machine maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks.
